Bengt Hultqvist Scholarship Award Ceremony
The Bengt Hultqvist Scholarship has been awarded to SpaceMaster student Jorgé Cortes de Jesús, Civil Engineering students Mathilda Nilsson and Johan Manske, in recognition of their academic achievements and active development of space education in Kiruna, Sweden.
The scholarships were awarded by the Kiruna Rotary Club represented by Club President Otto Andersson, Sparbanken Nord, and incoming Club President Barbro Rönnfors. The award ceremony was opened by Victoria Barabash, Head of the Division of Space Technology, Luleå University of Technology, who provided a historical overview of Bengt Hultqvist’s pivotal role in the development of space activities in Kiruna.
The ceremony took place on May 23, 2025, at the Kiruna Space Campus.
